It’s twin power for Brianna and Sabrina Mercado as they join together to “TWIN the Fight Against Cancer.” When Brianna was diagnosed with cancer, her sister Sabrina was by her side every day in the hospital. Now Brianna is battling cancer a second time, likely as a result of the harsh treatments used to treat her first cancer. Her sister is once again supporting her and they’re running together throughout the month of September as part of AMM. They hope that the money raised from AMM will fund research into less toxic and poisonous medicines so other young adult cancer survivors don’t have to suffer lasting effects from treatment.
