Rebecca and Christopher Granata are participating in Alex’s Million Mile-Run. Walk. Ride. as Team Dominator, motivated by their son Dominic (whose nickname is The Dominator). 

Dominic was diagnosed in May with a brain tumor. He had it removed, finished 6 weeks of chemo and radiation and begins a maintenance rotation of chemo this month that will last until July of 2015. 

Despite being in the midst of their treatment journey, this cause was too important for them to sit out. 

What parent wouldn't walk a million miles to cure their child of cancer? While pediatric cancer patients are surviving their cancer at higher rates, two-thirds of survivors have lasting side effects from treatment. Team Dominator believes we can do better for our children.

They hope that in the future other parents do not have to worry as much about the life-long consequences of being a cancer survivor.
