Kenson is a 16-year-old athlete and sports enthusiast! He is the nose guard and left tackle for his JV football team and has won the Fort Worth Golden Gloves for his weight division two years ago. He helps with the chores on his family’s farm. However, his mom Brenda is most proud of Kenson’s love for his sister Katie Lynn who has battled relapsed Type B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Katie Lynn passed away in September 2015, at the age of 8.

During Katie’s battle, Kenson was Katie’s biggest hero and protector. He helped with her care, loved her and always made sure she was safe.

Katie had a long journey. She was born with Downs Syndrome, had several heart and stomach surgeries and then was diagnosed with leukemia. Katie was Kenson’s only sibling and their bond was strong. Kenson was born to be Katie’s guardian angel.
 
Kenson’s participation in football and spending time playing xBox with friends has helped him keep his mind off of Katie’s relapse.

After Katie’s initial diagnosis, Kenson was part of SuperSibs. It was a wonderful experience for him.
