Emily Beukema is a happy 12-year-old. She likes to play on her phone and take pictures of her dog, Henry the pug. Doing homework and cleaning her room are her least favorite things to do.

Emily was strong when her brother Vincent was diagnosed with DIPG.  When Vincent and his mother were at the hospital for treatments, she was a huge help to her dad and her 5-year-old brother, Will.

When Vincent was home receiving hospice care, Emily would play with Will outside. In the hospital, Emily worked with the child life specialist and really brightened up the hospital room. Despite the difficulties with Vincent’s battle, Emily kept her great positive attitude.

Emily is so excited to be part of the SuperSib program and she can’t wait to hold her first lemonade stand. She wears her SuperSib tattoo proudly every day!
