Ella is shy but very social. She loves to climb things, dance, sing, play her guitar, play the piano, color, paint, cook, ride her bike and swim. She loves hugs and is very affectionate. She loves books but is just now learning how to read. She loves her favorite cousins: Chabela, Gabriel, Molana, Yvette, Junior and Luna.
I am proud of Ella for being so strong and understanding when she needed to be. Because she is the most affectionate one in our family and through our low moments, she was there to remind us about love and understanding.
Our SuperSib Ella has been Itzel's (her sibling with cancer) hospital buddy, the one who has been by her side through it all. Ella has had such a tough road, especially while Itzel was on daily steroids. Every time Ella has a chance to make a wish, it is always to take her sister's cancer away. When her sister needed help in any way, Ella was there, even helping her to the bathroom. Ella being the younger sister has watched her sister get so much attention and she has felt left out. Yet, she loves her sister and is so happy that her sister is alive and that it is all that matters.
It has been so helpful to Ella to have a Side-by Side buddy who gave her quality time. She loved being a part of her sister’s Make A Wish trip to Florida. And her having quality time with her mom as much possible has helped her through the cancer journey.
