Your Child in the Hospital
Divorced parents
Parents who were separated or divorced prior to their child’s injury or illness face additional difficulties. They will have to work together to help their child.
• Agree to set aside differences for the duration of the crisis
• Focus on communication
• Make agreements and abide by them
• Go to mediation if conflicts cannot be resolved
Anything divorced parents can do to prevent or minimize stress will help all of their children.
