Your Child in the Hospital
Hospital policy
If you are unable to pay your hospital bills, don’t let your account go to a collection agency or take out a large loan to pay the bill. Make an appointment with a hospital financial counselor to discuss the hospital’s financial assistance policy. Many hospitals write off a percentage of the cost of care if the patient is uninsured or underinsured. You may also be able to set up a payment plan based on your income.
