MILWAUKEE, March 11, 2015 – Andy Hammond of Northwestern Mutual-Indianapolis will present a $40,000 quality of care and research grant to Riley Children’s Foundation and Herman B. Wells Center for Pediatric Research, as part of Northwestern Mutual Foundation’s Childhood Cancer Community Grant Program. The grants are being awarded through Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF), Northwestern Mutual’s nonprofit partner dedicated to finding new treatments and ultimately cures for all kids with cancer.
Families from near and far are invited to attend a semi-formal family dance at the Wascott Town Hall from 7-10 p.m. Saturday. This event will have something fun for all ages — music, food, beverages, games and horse-drawn carriage rides. And all proceeds will go toward finding a cure for childhood cancer.
