Since 2004 Hy-Vee Supermarkets have supported Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation through their participation in Midwest Lemonade Days, Lemon Mixer, and Lemon Slice Golf Tournament, resulting in more than $2 million raised to fight childhood cancer.
Similar to Alex’s story, what started as one store helping a local family, has blossomed into a community effort throughout Kansas and Missouri, with more than 23 Hy-Vee locations hosting lemonade stands annually. Wanting to do more than host lemonade stands throughout the year, Hy-Vee has championed all children affected by childhood cancer throughout the community by integrating the Foundation's mission into several of their marketing initiatives and sponsorships including their partnership with Titos Handmade Vodka and 7-Up.
