Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) has had a longstanding partnership to eradicate pediatric cancer. Since 2004, the incredibly talented and dedicated staff at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia has designated a day to fundraise for ALSF honoring Alex’s legacy. CHOP, Alex’s hospital, kicks off their fundraising with a commemorative ceremony and awards a staff member the Pitcher of Hope. This award is given out to someone who has had a positive impact on the CHOP Oncology Department.

To say that Alex has made an impact on the CHOP community is an understatement. Patients can now receive treatment in the Alex Scott Day Hospital, where a memorial mosaic was erected in Alex’s memory. To date, CHOP has raised over $500,000 for ALSF.
