Power the Cure: Using Our Power For Good
POWER supports Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) in a unique way when it comes to corporate philanthropy — tapping into an award-winning company culture of almost 4,000 strong to show up in the collective fight against the disease.
POWER believes that its people are the most valuable conduit for change, providing employees with voice and choice in where philanthropic funding goes to impact causes they care about — part of the POWER's larger Power For Good initiative. That means employees are in the drivers seat when it comes to planning, creating, and executing programming in support of ALSF for thousands of participating POWER people.
In 2024 alone, employees raised a record-breaking $2.26 million for ALSF. Donations are entirely raised by employees of their own volition through payroll contributions, lemonade stands, kickball tournaments, auctions, and more employee engagement events throughout each summer.
To mark an unwavering commitment, POWER created the “Power The Cure” fund at Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. Donations within this fund will help support various ALSF innovative therapy grants that take a novel and promising approach to finding cures for childhood cancers. With this fund, hundreds of children – many with their last chance of survival – will be able to enroll in the most innovative and targeted treatments available. Over the lifetime of the partnership, POWER employees have helped raise over $9.86M to fund long-term cures and treatments for pediatric cancer.
Together, POWER and Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation will power the cure forward.
“The donations we’ve made to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation have changed the lives of so many, but this organization has also made a huge impact on us. So much so, that ALSF’s mission has become intertwined with our POWER identity,” said POWER’s Co-Founder, Adam Kaliner. “We're not just giving dollars and cents, we're providing hope, comfort, and support for those fighting against the unthinkable. Our POWER community continues to set a benchmark in the level of care we show for others, and that simply will never falter.”
