A Marstons Mills family has been chosen to be the Hero Family of Massachusetts for the nonprofit Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.
The nonprofit is dedicated to finding cures for children’s cancer.
Sean Hanson, 12, has been a cancer survivor for 11 years.
His mother, Ellen Hanson, said anyone can help to raise money during the fundraiser Alex’s Lemonade Days from June 12 to the 14.
“Anyone can have a lemonade stand,” she said. “It can be big or small and all the money goes to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation which is working for families and a cure.”
Ellen Hanson said the family’s job as a representative is to get the word out about Alex’s Lemonade Days.
