Keren and Bill Fitzgerald found themselves quickly overwhelmed when their 2-year-old son, Cole, was first diagnosed with neuroblastoma, the most common form of childhood cancer.
They found answers through what was then a small pediatric cancer charity called Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, started only a few years prior by the family of a little girl with the same disease as Cole.
