When
The "Childhood Cancer Christmas Tree Challenge" was started in memory of Sadie Hulsey, the beautiful girl in red in this picture. The child napping under the tree is Sadie's younger sister Lanier. Sadie was 17 months old when she was diagnosed with JMML, an aggressive Leukemia. During her 4 ½ years of intense treatment, she endured 2 unsuccessful bone marrow transplants, innumerable amounts of oral and IV chemo, and countless other harsh medicines and procedures. Yet, she always wore a smile and a tiara. Sadie passed a couple of months after this photo was taken, a week before her 6th birthday.
Please help us to honor Sadie's memory by participating in this challenge. Recreate the above photo (one person must floor nap and one person must Diva pose), then post your photo to the facebook page "Childhood Cancer Christmas Tree Challenge", tagging people you wish to nominate. Then please donate and share our fundraiser. Childhood Cancer is the leading cause of death by disease of children in the US, affecting 1 out of 285 children, yet it receives less than 4% of the National Cancer Institutes' budget. Please help us to make a difference and help fund a cure for all kids with cancer. Thanks for your support.
