Ben Brewer was diagnosed with stage IV high risk neuroblastoma, unfavorable tumor with the NMYC non-amplified in February of 2004. He was 2 1/2 years old. He endured multiple rounds of high dose chemotherapy, many surgeries, stem-cell transplant, radiation to the abdomen, oral chemotherapy and antibody therapy - all at Columbus Children's Hospital. After 15 months of intensive treatment, he was declared NED (no evidence of disease) and remains so today! He is now a second grader in Aurora, Colorado. Ben enjoys drawing, music, and all things Nintendo. He is a source of inspiration and a joy to all who meet him. He is AMAZING!
