Camps for Childhood Cancer Families

Did you know there is a wide variety of summer camps across the country for childhood cancer heroes and their siblings?

Summer camps are a great opportunity to have your hero or sibling enjoy time away from home and connect with others who share similar experiences! Camps for heroes specifically take care of their unique needs at various stages of treatment.

As the brother or sister of a child with cancer, a child can sometimes feel left out of things. But there are also special summer camps out there just for siblings! Some camps are even available to both heroes and siblings and the entire family.

Finding others who understand what both heroes and siblings are going through can make a world of difference for a lifetime. Attending camp makes kids feel much less alone and “different” from their friends back home. Many say that the kids they have met at camp have become their best friends in the world.

Note: The list of camps are meant as a starting point for you to contact the camps and learn more to see if they are a fit for your child.
