Athletic events of all kinds can be a great way to raise money for childhood cancer while bringing your school community together. You can add purpose and meaning to an annual basketball tournament or your school’s end of year Field Day by making it a benefit for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.

You may want to tweak an existing event or start a new athletic tradition, like a kickball game tournament or Fun Run. You can raise money by charging an entry fee or by having participants gather pledges for every lap they walk/run or goal they score. Make it even more fun by awarding prizes to the winners and/or biggest fundraisers. You could even cap off your event by holding a lemonade stand for thirsty spectators!
