The children diagnosed with cancer in My Childhood Cancer: Survey Series represent births in all 50 states.
SURVEY FACT 7:
About 60% of participating families had a history of cancer among family members when their child was diagnosed.
SURVEY FACT 8:
Approximately 89% of children diagnosed with cancer were full-term pregnancies.
SURVEY FACT 9:
43% of participants in My Childhood Cancer: Survey Series believed that an experience during their pregnancy or at childbirth may have contributed to their child’s cancer diagnosis. Experiences they felt might have contributed included specific childbirth and pregnancy related events, taking medicine and exposure to chemicals during pregnancy.
