Lemonade Stand Location: Florida At 18 months old, Caroline was diagnosed with leukemia. Just six months later, her 2-year-old cousin was also diagnosed with cancer. After two-and-a-half years of treatment, Caroline reached remission, but Julia sadly lost her fight. One summer Saturday morning in 2017, Caroline had the idea to have a lemonade stand to raise money “to buy toys for her friends still in the hospital.” That day, she hastily threw together a stand and raised $54. Her sister, Charlotte, joined her and each year the sisters have raised funds into the thousands. This summer, they will host the 7th Annual C&C Lemonade Factory Lemonade Stand to honor Julia and all childhood cancer warriors fighting this disease. The girls are most looking forward to all that their stand will feature this Lemonade Days. In past years, they’ve featured face painting, a photo booth, a firetruck appearance, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Cheerleaders and mascot, Pelican Pete, and more! |
