Dr. Florian Halbritter
Dr. Florian Halbritter, PhD, is a member of the Crazy 8 team that is tracking the origin of Ewing sarcoma by developmental and trans-species genomics. He and his team are experts in genomics data analysis, having designed computational workflows that allow their team to process vast data masses and interpret their results. He is currently a principal investigator at St. Anna Children's Cancer Research Institute (CCRI) in Vienna, Austria.
“I found the childhood cancer research community extremely welcoming, open, and collaborative, all driven by a common goal," said Dr. Halbritter. "That gives me hope that together we will find new solutions.”
ALSF funding was absolutely essential to make this project happen. There are not many funding instruments available to support projects of this scale. Thank you so much ALSF for supporting researchers outside the USA!
