Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma
Miles to Treatment: 329 miles (Durango to Denver)

“Jaden was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in May of 2016. Of course, like any other family with this life-changing news, it put our whole world upside down. We were just celebrating one of the happiest moments in our life: our family was complete with the birth of our third son, Sage in April of 2016. With this cancer diagnosis, we had to pack up 3 children and drive to Denver, 329 miles away, in just a 12 hour span! At that time, my kids  were 6 weeks old, 2 years old, and Jaden was 8. We spent the next 6 weeks in at Denver Children's Hospital to begin Jaden’s treatments immediately. It was the most exhausting and hardest days of my life as a mom.

When we were getting ready for our third trip to Denver, I was looking for assistance with hotel stay for my husband. Sage, Jaden and I stay at the Ronald McDonald house, but my husband and 2 year old Isaiah needed a hotel to stay closeby . Alex's Lemonade Stand never thought twice about helping us! The assistance was organized and done within one day! My husband’s hotel room was paid for the entire time we were in Denver. It was such a load off our shoulders, the hotel was close to Children's Hospital and gave us a place to call home  for the weeks we had to spend in Denver.

We are headed back to Denver for treatments on 11/17/16, and ALSF offered to pay for our hotel again without hesitation. We are grateful. Thank you!”
