Elise Davey

At 4 years old, Elise kept failing vision tests. After an MRI revealed she had an optic glioma tumor, she began countless chemotherapy treatments. Unfortunately, her tumor was still progressing, so her treatment schedule was adjusted to six weeks of daily radiation at a hospital six hours away from her home. Luckily, Elise and her family were able to stay near the hospital with aid from Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation’s Travel For Care program. With the cost of lodging alleviated, Elise’s family had peace of mind. Today, Elise is a vibrant kid who is still fighting her cancer with chemotherapy and monthly MRIs through the COVID-19 pandemic. Even so, she is staying positive.
