Even amid treatment, Elijah has always been a stellar student. His intelligence and selfless nature leading him to pursue a career as a pediatric oncology nurse. As a kid, Elijah lost a concerning amount of weight very suddenly. A trip to the doctors proved it was CNS germinoma and difficult treatments for the brain tumor followed. After a relapse and three stem-cell transplants Elijah is in remission. His family is incredibly grateful to ALSF for providing gas cards to ensure that Elijah’s family can afford the transportation that gets him to the treatment he needs. Today, Elijah has a bright future ahead of him at college and big dreams of hiking the Appalachian trial. Read his full story on the ALSF website here.
