Project Description:

Background
Sydney Lambert will take the lead on managing the imaging of murine models with tumors, screening them for entry criteria into the trial, and then make sure that treatments are administered according to the planned timing. As tumors grow to the size that their hosts reach study end-point, she will collect the tumors and run both flow cytometry analysis, as well as histology analysis with immunohistochemical stains. She will then assemble the results into a presentation and a figure or two for a larger paper that will include these experiments.

Project Goal
The project as a whole is underway in the laboratory already. It includes some genetic experiments in the murine model of ASPS that will test how tumorigenesis is impacted by genetic defects in varied aspects of the immune system. These other experiments will be ongoing during Sydney's summer in the laboratory. Part of her education will be to read about and understand these other experiments and how they relate to her specific experiments.
