Gavin is a quick-witted bright 5-year-old who has more energy than all 3 of his siblings combined. Gavin bounced into the ER on February 4, 2009, after we received a call from our pediatrician informing us that she suspected Gavin had leukemia. Now 6 weeks later Gavin is in remission and has more enthusiasm for life than ever. He keeps us all on our toes. Even with all of the chemotherapy and changes that have come with treatment you would never know that he is not a perfectly healthy little boy. We have always said that Gavin is different from our other kids and now we know why. We strongly believe that Gavin was made to be resilient for a reason - he was preparing for the fight against leukemia. If anyone is strong enough to beat this horrible disease it is our WILD child.
