Shiloh, a resident of Mount Olive, embarked on a heartfelt mission to make a difference in the lives of children facing illness. Inspired by her own experience at Goryab Children's Hospital in Morristown, NJ, where she spent time recovering from a head injury in 2016, Shiloh felt a deep calling to help others in need.
Several years ago, Shiloh expressed her desire to host a lemonade stand, and in late November 2019, we held our first event. However, given the chilly weather, the decision was made to offer comforting hot chocolate instead. When asked about her intentions for the funds raised, Shiloh let us know her wish to contribute to the well-being of sick children through charitable donations.
Motivated by Shiloh's compassion, the family conducted research and decided to collaborate with the Alex Lemonade Stand Foundation. Their goal was to take a step closer to finding a cure for all children battling cancer. The upcoming event at Ashley Farms in Flanders, NJ, marks their fourth initiative, with the gracious support of Aimee Ashley and Ashley Farms.
As of now, the efforts have proven fruitful, as they've successfully raised enough funds to support over 55 hours of cancer research. The community is invited to join them on December 14th for a cup of hot chocolate at Ashley Farms. Recognizing the busyness of the time of year, for those unable to attend, donations can be made on the provided page. Every contribution will contribute to ongoing research, striving to discover improved treatments and cures for childhood cancer. Your support is not just a donation; it's a beacon of hope for kids and their families in need. Thank you for being a part of this compassionate journey!
