Learn More »Julia has an outgoing and bubbly personality. She enjoys being around family and friends, and is a big lover of animals, coffee and the beach. During the summer you can find her at the pool or beach, surrounded by friends.
Before she was officially diagnosed with cancer, Julia came down with COVID-19. This led her to get a chest X-ray, which revealed a large mediastinal mass in her chest. From there, she underwent tons of scans and doctor appointments, and in the end, she was diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkin's lymphoma. Four rounds of chemotherapy and 14 rounds of proton radiation later, Julia reached remission.
Her dream for the future is to become an occupational therapist, with the hope to inspire other children going through cancer treatment, and to spread awareness. She wants others who may have received a cancer diagnosis to know that it’s okay to have bad days and it’s okay to feel all your emotions, both the good and the bad.
To Julia, Alexs Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) means a lot. Today she is an ALSF Ambassador, speaking at lemonade stands and advocating on behalf of the Foundation. To her, ALSF means that there is hope for more funding and research into childhood cancer. There’s hope for a cure.
“There is a past version of yourself that is very proud of how far you've come." - Julia
