1.    Unsupervised Transfer Learning for Rare Disease Transcriptomics 
Thursday, July 23, 2020, at 1 pm (EST)
Jaclyn N. Taroni PhD, the Prinicpal Data Scientist at the Childhood Cancer Data Lab (CCDL) will teach participants how to uncover relevant patterns in biomedical data. She will present obstacles derived from using data-intensive machine learning techniques as well as inform participants on how to use arbitrary transcriptomic data collections to their advantage against rare diseases. 

2.    The Many Genomic Roads to Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia
Monday, July 27, 2020, at 1 pm (EST)
Charles Mulligan. M.D., from St. Jude will discuss his research on the genetic factors contributing to leukemogenesis and responsive leukemia treatments. He has defined the genetic pathogenesis in new subtypes of acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and he has set new therapeutic targets through genetic alterations.

3.    The Open Pediatric Brain Tumor Atlas Initiative: New Models of Accelerated Discovery and Translation
Thursday, July 30, 2020, at 1 pm (EST)
Adam Resnick, PhD, from the Children’s Hospital of Philadelpia,  studies oncogenesis and tumor progression by focusing his efforts on understanding cell signaling mechanisms. He develops targeted therapies by delving into the genetic and molecular foundation of pediatric brain tumors.
