Noxah was a healthy active 12-year-old who loved a variety of sports, especially baseball.  He is the son of Joseph and Peggy Palomo.  He has 3 brothers, Jo-Jo, Nico, and Alex and 1 sister, Angel.  He is one of those kids that make you smile, no matter what type of day you are having.  The day our family's world was turned upside down was like any other typical day in the Palomo Family. We were at the baseball field and Noxah collapsed.  Within minutes an ambulance was there, and Noxah's pride made him not want to go to the hospital. He tried to convince his Mom he was all right and the trip was not necessary.  As most concerned mothers would do, Peggy decided to be safe and make the trip just in case.  Never in a millions years did she anticipate what would come in the next few hours.  The blood test came back and Peggy was told Noxah had leukemia (AML). He was transported to AI DuPont Children’s Hospital, and within 18 hours he had had a Spinal Tap, EKG, MRI, and multiple other tests.  He also began chemotherapy.  How do you go from being at an all star little league game to telling your son he has leukemia?

Noxah has the strongest spirit I have ever seen. He lights up the room whenever he enters it. He will beat this. His parents, siblings, family & many friends are cheering him on. He has always been special is so many ways. Noxah - we love you so much!
