2019 Alex’s Midwest Lemonade Days
For the 16th straight year, Midwest Lemonade Days was a spectacular success! At over 25 Hy-Vee locations across Kansas City, St. Joseph, Manhattan, Lawrence and Topeka, local ALSF supporters came out in force to hand out lemonade to generous (and thirsty) people! In addition, all the Hy-Vee employees worked hard asking customers to round up at the register and support research that could discover less toxic treatments and cures for all kids fighting cancer.
Special thanks to Tito’s Handmade Vodka and 7UP Bottling for their continued partnership with the event as well as the nearly 600 volunteers that made this event possible. Thanks to your efforts, Midwest Lemonade Days has now surpassed $1.3 million raised since its inaugural year. That’s translated to an incredible amount of possibilities for researchers to continue their work towards a potential breakthrough.

2017 Alex’s Midwest Lemonade Days
The 2017 Alex’s Midwest Lemonade Days started off with a visit from the Gladstone, MO mayor and the Kansas City Chiefs mascot, K.C. Wolf, to the Gladstone Hy-Vee. All 25 Hy-Vee’s ramped up their support by adding raffles, fire department visits, carnivals and 25 cents for lemons sold! Over 600 volunteers helped to raise over $100,000 for childhood cancer research. The Hy-Vee locations honored childhood cancer Heroes and many came out to support the cause. ALSF wants to thank Hy-Vee, 7-Up and Tito’s Vodka for their continued support in the midwest as well as all the volunteers who made the weekend possible. To date, the Midwest Lemonade Days has raised $1.3 million!
