Right Coast, Left Coast – City of Angels, The Big Apple - … whether you identify more with the East Coast or West Coast, there’s one thing that these two great cities have in common – helping kids with cancer through their support of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. This outpouring of support was especially evident in the past few weeks as two of our incredible culinary events –
L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade and
Lemon: NYC took place raising hundreds of thousands of dollars toward the fight against childhood cancer. Although quite different in their format, the events on opposite coasts featured amazing food, renowned chefs and a generous crowd of guests.
First up was L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade taking place in Los Angeles on September 20. Often referred to as L.A.’s version of a picnic, more than 40 chefs congregated on UCLA’s campus to serve up tastings of their signature dishes. More than 2,000 people attended the family-friendly event helping to raise over $700,000 in one afternoon for ALSF! Check out some fun photos below and our
entire photo album from the event on Facebook.
Next was Lemon: NYC on October 14 in New York City’s Studio 450. The format changed a bit at this year’s Lemon: NYC event as instead of individual chefs being assigned a table of guests to cook them an entire meal – each one of the 8 participating chefs was responsible for one course of the meal. This intimate and exclusive format enabled for a truly one-of-a-kind experience for the diners and helped to raise more than $164,000 for ALSF. A few photos from Lemon: NYC are below, but the
entire album can be found on Facebook.
