The Childhood Cancer Blog

Happy National Siblings Day! A big shoutout to all our SuperSibs!

Being a sibling has its challenges, from the pain of getting knocked back to home in Sorry! to having somebody "borrow" all your favorite stuff. For siblings of kids going through cancer treatment, there can be a ton of tough changes to cope with, from worry and family stress to big changes in routine, new caregivers, sometimes even extended separations from a parent and affected sibling.

At ALSF, we're supporting siblings with our SuperSibs program, which sends supportive "comfort & care" mailings to kids ages 4-18 who live in the U.S. and have a sibling in treatment for childhood cancer. We want sibs to know how special they are and that we can help them on this journey. You can sign up a sibling here.

Hugs and backseat-of-the-station-wagon pinches to all of of our siblings, near and far!
