K-Pasta held a fundraiser for Alex’s Lemonade Stand to benefit childhood cancer Saturday, June 13 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Alex’s Lemonade Stand is a foundation dedicated to eradicating childhood cancer.
Alexandra “Alex” Scott was diagnosed with neuroblastoma at a young age. She started her first lemonade stand at age 4 to benefit the hospital that treated her. She died at the age of 8 but had raised over $1 million to help find a cure for the disease that took her life.
K-Pasta has a kids cooking class every other month that teaches the importance of wholesome eating and making food from scratch. Recently a student shared his story of surviving leukemia which served as the inspiration for K-Pasta to give back.
