Little Carolyn Hendrix, only 6, doesn't want to sit in the living room listening to her mom and dad talk to a stranger about her cancer. Carolyn has been cancer-free for a year now. She's ready to make up for all the fun she missed while in and out of the hospital. She's ready to run and swim and do all the things she couldn't do through 17 grueling rounds of chemotherapy that drained her body, stealing precious pounds from her already tiny body.
"I want to plaaaaaay," she said, spinning in her living room, all sunshiny in a girly-little yellow dress.
Then, she looked at her father, Jeff Hendrix, 40, as he talked about her battle against a rare form of bone cancer.
