Nothing could sour Friday afternoon for a group of bright and happy faces who were hard at work selling lemonade for Alex’s Lemonade Stand to raise money for childhood cancer research and treatment.
The group even got some “royal” support from Royals Left Fielder Alex Gordon.
“Everyone is affected by cancer in some way, friends and family members,” he says.
Gordon says his mother beat cancer twice but some aren’t as lucky.
“We are going to give all the money to a hospital for childhood cancer so we can help pay for medicines and stuff there,” says Emmaline Call, who was selling lemonade in honor of her cousin Asher.
