Families from near and far are invited to attend a semi-formal family dance at the Wascott Town Hall from 7-10 p.m. Saturday. This event will have something fun for all ages — music, food, beverages, games and horse-drawn carriage rides. And all proceeds will go toward finding a cure for childhood cancer.
Northwood senior, Brooke Gouge of Gordon, has been busy planning the event as part of her senior project.
“I wanted to plan a fun, family event that would help out an important cause,” she said. “I chose to support childhood cancer research because I know many people in my community that have been affected by childhood cancer, and some who unfortunately lost their battle. After learning more about Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation and its founder, Alex, I knew it was the perfect organization.”
