A Valley student is one step closer to his goal in the fight against childhood cancer and making this a Better Arizona. This is the seventh year that 11-year-old P.J. Bartos has used his President's Day holiday to host Alex's Lemonade Stand in Peoria. The event ran from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Trilogy Golf Club at Vistancia. Bartos said he is working toward raising $50,000 by the time he graduates from high school. So far, Bartos and his friends have helped raise nearly $29,000.
