The members of the Greenville Elementary School student council are trading in their textbooks for walking shoes to benefit a good cause.
On Oct. 18, the school and the student council will host a walk-a-thon to raise money for Alex’s Lemonade Stand, which is a foundation that raises funds to support research into pediatric cancer. The walk will start at the Greenville fitness trail with registration at 8 a.m. and will conclude at noon.
