Gavin is a 13-year-old in 8th grade who loves history and geography. He plays baseball and loves his little sister, Harper.

With his bright future and a great smile, Gavin is resilient and charming, but he and his family didn’t have the luxury of just focusing on traditional childhood milestones.

In early 2014, Gavin was showing signs of quick bruising. His parents took him to the pediatrician thinking he might be anemic. His bloodwork came back showing that he had acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), much to everyone’s shock.

Since then, Gavin has had numerous hospital stays, weekly clinic visits, as well as chemotherapy administered orally and by shot at home every day. He finished his three and a half year treatment in May 2017 and had his portacath removed. He remains positive and is working his way through school like a star!

No child should have to go through what Gavin experienced, but his family can't wait to see what life has in store for him!
