The Summit High School Key Club hopes a glass of lemonade could some day lead to a cure for childhood cancer.
Club members set up a lemonade stand outside of Five Below on July 24-25, asking for donations for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a 501(c)3 charity.
“Service should be all year round,” Key Club member Isra Alnatour said.
Summit’s Key Club has participated in the initiative for three years. This year the group raised $420.
Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation started as the idea of cancer patient Alexandra Scott and all proceeds go toward Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research, which distributes grants for research.
