Thousand Oaks: Fundraiser benefits cancer research
Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, which raises money for research into childhood cancer, will sell Country Time Lemonade from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday near the Muvico Theaters in The Oaks shopping center, 350 Hillcrest Drive. Kelly and Tamara Taggart of Newbury Park launched the local stand 11 years ago. Their son, John, succumbed to the same cancer as Alexandra Scott, the founder of the project.
