Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation Hosts Inaugural Lemon Climb Denver on Saturday, May 13, 2017

National charity invites Denver-area to join the  fight against childhood cancer, one step at a time.

Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF), a nonprofit dedicated to finding cures for all kids with cancer, will host The Lemon Climb, presented by Northwestern Mutual, at the 1999 Broadway building in the Downtown Denver Business District on Saturday, May 13, 2017.

Athletic enthusiasts and ALSF supporters are invited to challenge themselves by climbing 43 floors to the top of 1999 Broadway. It is $25 to register and participants are required to raise a minimum of $100 – which funds two hours of childhood cancer research. ALSF has awarded over $2.1 million to researchers at the University of Colorado Denver and Children’s Hospital Denver, including promising pediatric brain tumor projects.

Climbers can participate on their own or create a team to climb and fundraise together. All participants will receive a limited edition Lemon Climb t-shirt.

Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation is excited to add The Lemon Climb to our collection of special events,” said Jay Scott, co-executive director and father of Foundation creator Alexandra “Alex” Scott. “Through our special events held across the country, we’ve been able to raise significant funds for the fight against childhood cancer. We’re hoping The Lemon Climb will do the same, allowing participants to make a difference in the lives of children and their families facing the disease, one step at a time.”
