After attending the three day Alex's Lemonade Stand Student Leadership Academy, Becca Clouser has big plans for Palmyra Area High School, where she will be a junior in the fall.
"I already have an adviser at my school for a club, and I would like to do some type of fundraiser at football games," said Becca, "September is childhood cancer awareness month, so it seems like the perfect time to start."
After initially finding out about the program through her mother, Becca decided to apply last winter. She was one of 58 students selected to attend at Villanova University at the end of July. Students came from as far away as Denver to attend the program that focuses on helping students discover the skills they possess and how they can use those skills to promote change within their community.
