Charlotte, NC – June 3, 2024 – In a dedicated effort to combat childhood cancer, Affinity Group is proud to announce that it will host an Alex’s Lemonade Stand on Monday, June 17th, 2024, from 1 PM to 4 PM at Brewers at 4001 Yancey, located at 4001-A Yancey Rd., Charlotte, NC 28217.

Since 2021, Affinity Group has been a staunch supporter of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF). Our commitment to contributing to the greater good drives us to support causes that benefit the most vulnerable members of our society—our children. We eagerly anticipate our annual Alex’s Lemonade Stand fundraiser, knowing each event brings us closer to advancing treatments, supporting families, and ultimately finding a cure for childhood cancer.

This year, our Charlotte office will once again host the fundraiser at Brewers at 4001 Yancey. We are hopeful that this year’s event will surpass previous fundraising efforts, thanks to the generous support of our community. The lemonade served will be provided by Florida’s Natural, a valued client and a major supporter of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.

The Origin of Lemonade Days

Lemonade Days began in 2004 with ALSF's inspiring founder, 8-year-old Alex Scott, who set a goal to raise $1 million for “her doctors” to help children like her fighting cancer. Her unwavering belief inspired countless others to join her cause. Since her passing, Lemonade Days has continued to flourish, with stands held nationwide to raise funds for childhood cancer research. To mark the 20th anniversary of the first Lemonade Days, the event will be expanded to run from June 1 to June 30, 2024. Interested in hosting your own lemonade stand? About Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) originated from the front yard lemonade stand of 4-year-old Alexandra “Alex” Scott, who was fighting cancer and wanted to raise money to find cures for all children with cancer. By the time Alex passed away at the age of 8, she had raised $1 million. Since then, the Foundation bearing her name has evolved into a worldwide fundraising movement and the largest independent childhood cancer charity in the U.S. ALSF is a leader in funding pediatric cancer research projects across the globe and providing programs to families affected by childhood cancer.
