When Riley Stock of Burleson was born 14 years ago, her mother noticed something was out of place.
“I had a healthy, normal pregnancy [with Riley],” Lori Stock said. “In the hours that followed delivery, my husband and I discovered a small knot in one of her legs. It was tiny; no bigger than a BB.”
Concerned as a new mom, Lori Stock said she questioned the pediatrician the next morning.
“She told us she had found it too — but not to worry — as it was likely just a calcium deposit,” Lori Stock said.
In the days and weeks to come, Lori Stock and her husband discovered more and more knots.
“The nodules seemed to be multiplying each day,” Lori Stock said. “They were under her skin in her face, belly, arms, legs and feet. Essentially, the nodules were head to toe.”
