Nine-year-old Kayla Morales is gearing up for her fifth annual lemonade stand that will raise money to fight childhood cancer on Saturday at Jersey City's Newport Mall.

Morales will set up her stand in front of the Macy's from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and will be serving up her bright smile, too.

"It is a big challenge and I am excited to raise awareness of just how serious the epidemic of childhood cancer is," Morales wrote on the Facebook page that her mom help set up.

The lemonade stand is part of a larger organization called Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, started in 2000 by Alexandra Scott who was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a form of childhood cancer, before her first birthday. She died in 2004 at just 8 years old.
