From 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday through Sunday, Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, 5555 Youngstown-Warren Road, will host lemonade stands to raise money to fight childhood cancer.

Volunteers will sell fresh lemonade for $3 a cup, with proceeds going to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, an organization created in honor of Alexandra “Alex” Scott (1996-2004).

Last June, Firebirds Wood Fired Grill’s lemonade stands raised more than $50,000. The goal this year is $75,000. The Cafaro Foundation will match up to $2,000 in lemonade sales.

Firebirds’ participating partners are Gordon Foodservice, Reinhart Foodservice, Shamrock Foods, Dixie Produce, Ambrogi Foods, J.H. Honeycutt, Keany Produce, Liberty Fruit, Phoenix Produce, Senn Brothers Produce, Sirna and Sons Produce, American Beverage Marketers, McCartney Produce, Produce Alliance and Willie Itule Produce.
