At 6 years old, Brayden Bateman has endured more surgeries than many will undergo in a lifetime.
But while life may have given the Greenville kindergartner some lemons, he and his family are planning to make lemonade – literally.
Brayden was diagnosed with retinoblastoma - eye cancer- when he was just two weeks old. He's now cancer-free, said his mom, Sabra Bateman.
The family desires to give back to those organizations that have been good to them through their journey, she said.
So from 9 a.m. to noon, on Saturday, June 13, they'll set up a lemonade stand in front of Greenville Gymnastics Training Center at 1311-C Miller Road. Proceeds from every cup of lemonade they sell and every donation collected will go to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF).
