A group of elementary school students were selling lemonade Tuesday to raise money for childhood cancer research.
The fundraiser was a part of Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation which was named for an 8-year-old who spent her last days selling lemonade to raise money for kids like her.
She passed away from a neuroblastoma. On Tuesday, Ridgecrest Elementary School students were glad to be carrying on Alex's legacy.
"I hope they feel a part of it because they're the ones that are making it work. They're the ones who are donating it. We are just hosting it. They're doing their part in it too," said Fifth Grader Detrick Jones.
