Edison Teens Sell Lemonade to Support Cancer Research

Three Edison teens are taking a stand – a lemonade stand – against cancer, as they hosted the 5th Annual Alex’s Lemonade Stand at Rotondo’s Liquor and Fine Foods on Lake Avenue in Clark on Friday and Saturday.

Emily D’Amato, Cambria Rotondo and Erin Cervilli decided five years ago that they wanted to take on a community service project.  Their school had hosted a lemonade stand and girls thought it was something they could manage. 

“We think childhood cancer is a good cause,” Rotondo said.  

So the girls mixed up a batch of lemonade and set up shop in front of the Clark deli owned by Rotondo’s parents. They sold handmade bracelets and cups of lemonade with a goal of raising $600 over a two-day period.
